Noise Downstairs with special guest Trumpet Grrrl at Way Station

Join us at one of our favorite Brooklyn venues, Way Station, for a night of dance and funky explorations. So excited to share the stage for the first time with Trumpet Grrrl (https://open.spotify.com/artist/3qBI9YP4DU1P1G6UPjpMcN), an amazing local artist who plays trumpet and keys AT THE SAME TIME.

EP Release Show with *special guests* The Wali Sanga and Marcus Jade

To celebrate the release of our debut EP 'Soul of A Rider,' Noise Downstairs is putting on a special show with our dear friends The Wali Sanga and Marcus Jade at Ghostie Studio (where it all started!).

Also, Ryan D'Herde and his film squad will be there filming the show!

Come hang with us next Friday, listen to some jams, drink and dance to the grooves! Doors at 8:30. Music at 9. BYOE.

About the performers:

Hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, Marcus Jade is a singer-songwriter, and guitar player who started self-learning his way around a guitar at 14 years old. By that time, he discovered he was drawn into and emerged in Indianapolis' eclectic music and art scene that found him at everything from house shows, underground and basement sets, to DIY venues. His appreciation of music allowed him to mesh with many outfits across genres, from Hip-Hop, to Punk, to Metal, to Zydeco, before settling into his own skin. This expression found him re-igniting his love and passion for blues music, writing and composing his own music. Currently living and jamming in Brooklyn, he has found a steady rhythm between offering his medicine at shoes across the New York City metro area and producing more songs.

The Wali Sanga are a collective out of Brooklyn, NY with a sweetly concocted blend of original pop-funk, world-beat, and indie-soul. The brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Alexander “Sheriff” Ariff, the group has performed nationwide. The Wali Sanga’s revolving door of collaborators boasts credits like Snarky Puppy, Chance The Rapper, Rihanna, and Fifth Harmony. At their core the band stands for groove and positivity with personal lyrics pulling from young love, adult angst and surreal commentary on life in New York City.
*** Sheriff and the gang are nearing the end of their Kickstarter campaign to raise money for their EP 'Big Ears' and need your help! Be sure to check out the page and donate what you can!*** https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/553112305/the-wali-sanga-big-ears
